3) Add a new layer. Now with white being your primary color, type in any text on that new layer; the bigger the better. And Keep 1 space between every letter!
4) Now with that finished, using the magic wand tool and while holding Ctrl, select the text one letter at a time. Once thats done select the "background" layer and hit the "delete" button.
5) Now uncheck the visibilty box for the top layer. And now add a new layer. Move it to the bottom. Make your primary color blue with a white tint to it and your secondary be white.
6) Using the Linear Gradient tool, make a gradient to where the text is half blue half white with a fade. Like this...
7) Now add a new layer and move it to the top. Make sure your primary color is still white. Select the Text tool. Time to do some math...add 2 font sizes to the font size you had for the original text. (example: I had size 72 for my original text..now its size 74)
8 ) You may have to do one letter at a time, but line up each letter so it "wraps" around the text.
9) Set the Opacity for that layer to 135 and the mode to Color Dodge.
10) Add a new layer. Now make your primary color black. Now to do some more math. Subtract 4 text sizes from the text size you have now. (example: I have size 74 text now for the last couple steps, now I'm setting the size to 70)
11) Now type the text you have and moving it to be "inside" the text.
12) Now set the Opacity to 101
13) Now Duplicate the "background" layer. Make your primary color drakish grey. On the top back ground layer, start making random circles and squares and lines.. be creative... just make sure the lines dont intersect with the text.. Thats a NO NO.
14) When your done with that set the opacity of the top background layer to 148.
15) Now on your top background layer, using the magic wand tool, hold down ctrl and select each letter until you have every letter selected. Add a new layer but keep your letters selected. Now on your new layer, with the rectangle tool set to Draw Filled Shape, and your primary color being a darkish blue, start making little squares and rectangles at the base of all the letters. You can use the elipse tool, too if you want.
16) Once your down with your "abstract" circles and squares. Set the opacity of that layer to 148.
17) Now go to Image/Flatten Image and then using the rectangle select tool, select the rectangle of the text you want and then hit crop to selection in the upper tool bar.
